Episode #12 – Sorrow

About

This episode of Thirst No More and Bear Fruit explores sorrow. The guests on this show share their views of dying and death and how it affects people.

First, Wayne Faust talks about losing his wife to cancer five years ago. Wayne is still touched by his wife’s death and he writes about his experience of sorrow in the book he wrote, 300 Billion to One. It reminds me of the scripture in Jeremiah 8:18, that talks about sorrow beyond healing.

Next, Daniel Roebuck who co-wrote, directed and stars in the movie Getting Grace talks about the movie. This light-hearted conversation let’s us know that Psalm 30:5 is true. Weeping is but for a night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning.

We are all in a process and for those of us who have lost a loved one, God can use the experience of dying and our sorrow to perfect us into His image. Remember everything has a purpose, even if we don’t see what it is as we go through and experience sorrow.
