In this episode of Thirst No More and Bear Fruit, Julie talks to book publishers. As Psalm 68.11 states in the King James Version, The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.

First, Julie speaks with Sue Myal, co-founder of Fiesta Publishing. Established in 1997, the company went silent for about fifteen years, until Julie (Sue’s daughter) resurrected the company. This took place when the Lord instructed Ms. Castro to write the book, On Earth as It Is in Heaven: A Personal Allegory.

Julie and Sue talk candidly about the book publishing business and how it has changed over the past twenty years. The story that Julie likes to apply to Fiesta Publishing is that of David preparing the materials to build the Temple, but Solomon, David’s son is the one who built it. So, it goes with Fiesta Publishing.

Next, Julie talks with Sarah Bolme, Executive Director of the Christian Small Publishers Association (CSPA) and author of Your Guide to Marketing Books in the Christian Marketplace. Sarah shares how the Lord opened the door for her to found CSPA. The women talk about the importance of quality books and the reality of book publishing.
