This month’s episode of Thirst No More and Bear Fruit, Julie Castro and Dallas Jenkins talk about the streaming series The Chosen. Most television shows and movies focus on Jesus, but The Chosen looks at the lives of those who were close to Jesus. Using scripture as the foundation and historical documents, Dallas and his crew delve into the lives of the people who were close to Jesus in some capacity.

Dallas also shares about the crowdfunding campaign, so that his vision for the series would come to fruition. What started out as a local crowdfunding project, became the most successful campaign to raise funds for film production.

A forty-day devotional is available and accompanies the TV series. Julie personally used the devotional while she fasted television for forty days.
